What is Beacon Rest?

A narrative adventure game where you manage a lighthouse through changing seasons. Make choices, manage resources, and experience a unique story.

Is it free?

Yes! Completely free. Supported by optional rewarded ads.

Do I need an account?

Nope! Your progress saves automatically using your device ID.

Can I play offline?

No. The game needs internet to sync progress and load story content.

Playing the Game

How does the game work?

Read narrative scenes → Make choices → See consequences → Advance time → Repeat!

How do I advance time?

Tap the hourglass icon (top-right) to move to the next time period.

What are the time periods?

• Morning → Afternoon → Evening → Night
• After Night, it becomes Morning of a new day
• Four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter

Do my choices matter?

Yes! Choices affect resources, story progression, and future options. Some effects are immediate, others long-term.

Why are some choices grayed out?

You don't have enough resources, or story conditions haven't been met.

Can I undo a choice?

No. Every choice is permanent and meaningful.

Resources & Strategy

What resources do I manage?

• Oil - Lighthouse beacon fuel
• Food - Your sustenance
• Energy - Physical/mental stamina
• Firewood - Warmth (especially winter)
• Supplies - General materials

What happens if I run out?

Running out of critical resources (Food, Oil) leads to negative story outcomes and limits your choices.

How do I get more resources?

• Make wise story choices
• Watch rewarded ads
• Seasonal events
• Gather activities
• Trade with visitors

Ads & Rewards

How many ads can I watch?

3 per day. Resets at midnight.

Is there a cooldown?

Yes, 5 minutes between ads.

What rewards can I get?

• Seagull's Gift: +20 Food
• Supply Ship: +30 Oil, +10 Supplies
• Lighthouse Blessing: 2x gathering bonus
• Sunrise Skip: Advance time 6 hours

How do ad rewards work?

Tap ad icon when available → Choose reward type → Watch ad → Get reward instantly.

Why can't I watch an ad?

• Still in 5-min cooldown
• Reached daily limit (3 ads)
• Ad still loading (wait a moment)
• No ad available from network

Can I play without ads?

Absolutely! Ads are 100% optional. Full game experience without ever watching one.

Do I need to allow tracking?

No. Ads work either way. Tracking just helps show more relevant ads.

Technical & Troubleshooting

What iOS version do I need?

iOS 14.0 or later. iOS 15+ recommended.

Why does it ask for tracking permission?

For personalized ads. You can deny and still play the full game.

Is my data safe?

Yes! Only anonymous gameplay data. No personal info. See Privacy Policy.

Will progress transfer to a new device?

Not currently. Progress is tied to your device ID. Fresh start on new device.

App crashes or freezes?

Try:

1. Force close and reopen
2. Restart device
3. Check for app updates
4. Verify stable internet
5. Free up storage space
6. Contact support if persists

Ads not loading?

• Check internet connection
• Verify not at daily limit
• Wait for cooldown to expire
• Close and reopen app
• Ads may be temporarily unavailable

Game running slowly?

• Close background apps
• Restart device
• Update to latest iOS
• Free up storage
• Ensure good internet connection

Account & Privacy

What data do you collect?

• Anonymous device ID
• Game progress and choices
• Ad interactions

Can I delete my data?

Yes! Settings → Reset Game deletes progress.

How do I opt out of personalized ads?

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Toggle off Beacon Rest

Is my data sold?

No! We don't sell personal information.

Can I reset my game?

Yes! Settings → Reset Game
Warning: Deletes ALL progress. Cannot be undone.

How long is the game?

Ongoing experience through seasons and days. No fixed endpoint. Play at your own pace!
