Age Restriction
Beacon Rest is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you are under 18, please do not use Beacon Rest or provide any personal information to us. If we discover that someone under 18 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.
If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, please contact us at support@beacon-rest.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Account Information (Required)
- Email address (for login and communication)
- Birth date (for age verification)
- Password (encrypted, only for email accounts)
- First and last name (optional, from Apple Sign In)
Game Progress
- Game resources, day, season, story choices
- Narrative choices and progression
- Ad interactions (how many, when)
- This data is linked to your account

- Device type and iOS version
- Approximate location (via IP address)

Delete Your Data
In-App Deletion (All Users):
Settings → Legal & Support → Delete Account
- Deletes your account permanently
- Removes all game progress
- Cannot be undone
- Takes effect immediately
Email Request:
- Send request to support@beacon-rest.com
- Include your account email
- We'll confirm and delete within 10 business days
What Gets Deleted:
- Account information (email, password, profile)
- All game progress and choices
- Ad interaction history
- All associated data
Data Storage
Local (On Your Device)
- JWT authentication token in secure iPhone Keychain
- Cached user profile in UserDefaults
- User preferences in UserDefaults
- Protected by iOS security
Cloud (Our Servers)
- Account information and game progress
- Encrypted HTTPS connections
- Secure password hashing (bcrypt)
- Deleted after 1 year of inactivity
Data Retention
Active Accounts
- Data retained as long as account exists
- You control retention via account deletion
Deleted Accounts
- 30-day recovery period (soft delete)
- After 30 days: permanently erased
- No recovery possible after permanent deletion
Inactive Accounts
- Automatically deleted after 1 year of no activity
- You'll receive email warning 30 days before deletion
